South African Air Force Accepting Applications

South African Air ForceEach year, the South African Air Force recruits student pilots and navigators. The rigorous selection process sees only 30 of every 4,000 applicants being chosen for training.

Although advertisements usually appear in the Sunday Times, Rapport and City Press from July to August each year, applicants need not wait until these advertisements appear. Applicants can send in their information at any time, and the SAAF will keep them on file until their next recruitment drive.

Each applicant’s current academic performance will determine their eligibility for either the DoD Youth Foundation Training Programme, or the Pupil/Pilot Navigator Training Programme.
